PRINCETON, N.J. – Johnstown rookie center Alexandre Imbeault is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Feb. 25-Mar. 2.

The Montreal, Quebec native had three goals and eight points to help the Chiefs go 4-0-0 and move to within four points of fourth place in the North Division.

After scoring the game-winning goal and adding an assist in a 4-3 win against Reading on Feb. 27, the 6-foot and 180-pound Imbeault scored the game-winning goal on the power play in a 5-3 win at Wheeling on Feb. 29. He had three points (1g-2a) in a 5-3 win at Reading and ended the week with two assists in a 6-2 win at Elmira.

The 21 year old has a four-game point streak (3g-5a) and is second on the Chiefs with seven power-play goals and tied for fourth with 41 points (16g-25a) in 41 games. Imbeault was selected to the 2008 All-Star Game, but did not play as he was called up to the American Hockey League with Providence where he has seven points (3g-4a) in 12 games.

Imbeault played the last four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 208 points (90g-118a) and 164 penalty minutes in 245 regular season games and 16 points (10g-6a) and 22 penalty minutes in 21 playoff games for Quebec, Victoriaville and Chicoutimi from 2003-07.

On behalf of Alexandre Imbeault, a case of pucks will be donated to a Johnstown area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 19,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
